My name is Roger Stapf. I'm the designer and builder of the RSCanCar. I've been a car guy since a young child when I picked up and misplaced my first tool in my dad's garage. Though I have always seemed to do more taking apart then putting together, I do truly love cars.

Being a big VW enthusiasts, there has always been at least one VW in my life. I still have the first VW I bought right out of High School in 1982, a 1964 Beetle. Though she has changed many times over the years, and has sat more then been driven, I think thats where it all started.

The first "CanCar" came about after I found myself with a spare VW chassis from a car I bought just for the wheels and tires. She was headed to the scrap yard for her metal weight when I came along. Her body was a mess of fire damage, rust, bumps and bondo but she still had good bones. So after a very scary tow home, a complete disassemble saving every precious part I could, I found myself with another project.

I wanted to build something really different. Something fun and unique. Something that would make people smile. Something that would attract attention and have a market value. Something that I could offer to other companies and then do all over again if it was a success. Well, here we are .........
